After the accident

Be sure to take your car to a well established auto body shop for repairs. If you are not sure of well respected shops in your area ask friends and family and be sure to get quoted at least two different repair shops. This way you can be sure that you are not being taking for a ride and being charged more than you should for repairs to your vechicle.


Also get checked out by your doctor and if you have sustained any injuries that need immediate medical attention, go directly to the hospital. However, be cautious that anything you do or say can be documented from medical record. Be sure to record the different doctors that you meet with and see as such they are good information to have when meeting with an attorney. Also, make notes if X-Rays or CT Scans were taken. Also, collect pertinent past medical history which may be of interest to your attorney.
